Position summary : Director, US Supply Chain
Supporting all aspects of supply and distribution in the US.
In the role as Director, US Supply Chain you are based in Hansa Biopharma's US HQ in New York City, and are responsible for managing supply and distribution, to ensure continued availability of product, in line with customer and market demand.
The Supply Chain team is a small, but growing team, and as such operates in a highly-collaborative and integrated manner.
In this position you will report to VP Supply Chain at Hansa Biopharma.
This role will be based at our NYC (Manhattan) office when opened and will require the individual to be at a daily commuting distance from NYC and spend 3-4 days/week in the office.
Key tasks and responsibilities

Supply Chain
• Establishing appropriate distribution, supply and order-to-cash models, based on product, indication and Hansa Finance requirements.
• Selection of appropriate distribution partners.
• Managing distribution partners.
• Managing PO process and financial flows with distribution partners.
• Monitoring distribution partner KPIs and escalating any non-compliance.
• Negotiating and managing supply contracts with purchasing authorities.
• Managing inventory levels, throughout the supply chain.
• Monitoring inventory of finished product, and associated expiry dates, at distributors and hospitals and action in line with company policy.
• Liaising with the regulatory function to manage the smooth introduction of artwork and packaging component updates.
• Liaising with appropriate internal functions to develop forecasting and planning requirements for drug product and finished product.
• Providing updated forecast information for both manufacturing and packaging demand planning, and to meet requirements and contractual obligations of distribution partners.
• Developing processes, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), in support of supply chain activities e.g. forecasting, purchasing, inventory management.
• Effectively communicate with internal stake holders (e.g. Finance, Regulatory, Commercial and Legal).
Quality
• Participate in inspection readiness efforts for internal and external audits.
• Ensure compliance with Company SOPs, protocols, and specifications.
• Participate in the investigation of non-compliance issues. Provide recommendations for corrective and remedial actions.
Leadership
• High level of personal and professional integrity and trustworthiness with strong work ethic and the ability to work independently with minimal direction.
• Strong negotiation skills, particularly with regard to negotiating supply and purchasing contracts.
• Development of strong working relationship with distribution partners.
• Ensure supply of product at the right quality, time and location.
• “Supply Chain responsible” role in Quality Management System.
• Author, Quality Document.
Education and experience requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent from an accredited college or university
• 10 years of US pharmaceutical supply and distribution experience including experience supporting a US product launch, preferably in hospital, transplant, nephrology or orphan
• Experience building and leading a US supply chain and customer services team
• Experience from a smaller international biotech company is preferred
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams). ERP system experience essential. Strong working knowledge of other IT systems (e.g. Contract Management Systems, Sharepoint, Travel & Expenses systems, Zoom)
• Ability to interact with all levels of the organization including C-suite, CEO and Board of Directors
• Ability to manage multiple, sometimes conflicting priorities, in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally on a frequent basis (approximately 20%)

Estimated salary range for this role is $200,000 - $235,000 annually. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications, skills and experience of the individual applicant, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the geographic location of the individual. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/ or long-term incentives, as well as participation in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, company holidays and well-being benefits.
