Position summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Scientist with expertise in drug substance manufacturing and protein science to join our growing CMC organization. This is a critical role that bridges technical, regulatory, and operational functions to drive the Late Stage CMC strategy for our biologics programs.

This is a permanent, full-time position based in Lund, Sweden. The role reports to the Head of CMC Late Stage Development.

Key tasks and responsibilities

• Drive Late Stage CMC activities including development, validation, life cycle management in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Act as SME regarding drug substance manufacturing processes including process data management, and/or analytical projects.
• Participate in document authoring and activities related to regulatory submissions (BLA/MAA), ensuring timely execution of regulatory milestones.
•  Responsible for activities outsourced to CMO/CROs including vendor selection, CMO/CRO oversight, contract management and ensuring milestones are timely fulfilled.

Education and experience requirements

• Advanced degree (PhD, MSc, or equivalent) in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and expectations for biologics development and commercialization.
• 8+ years of industry experience in biologics development with strong expertise in at least two of the following areas:

• Validation of manufacturing processes
• Experience in large scale GMP manufacturing
• Authoring and reviewing CMC sections for regulatory submissions (BLA/MAA) and participating in agency interactions

Type of employment and location

This is a permanent, full-time (40-hours) position based in Lund, Sweden. The role requires regular on-site presence, with an expectation of four days per week in the office.
