Position summary: Vice President, US Commercial
We are seeking an experienced Vice President US Commercial, to build our US marketing and sales organization and prepare for our first US launch expected in second half of 2026. This role requires recent launch experience, significant US marketing experience, strong strategic thinking and planning and ability to build and develop a high performing team. The role reports to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) & US President and will have frequent interactions with other C-suite executives, and on occasion with the Board of Directors. This role will be based at our NYC (Manhattan) office when opened and will require the individual to be at a daily commuting distance from NYC and spend 3-4 days/week in the office.
Key tasks and responsibilities

- Lead the US launch of imlifidase and the overall US commercial strategy for all of Hansa’s pipeline products and indications
- Lead the implementation of the US launch plan strategy and tactics and ensure cross-functional alignment with market access, medical affairs and business operations and analytics and other cross-functional colleagues
- Define and lead the short and long-term US commercial strategy in alignment with Hansa’s corporate objectives
- Develop TPPs, differentiation strategies, drive disease area strategy and product positioning
- Assess market dynamics and competitive activity, to inform commercial strategy and prioritization
- Develop appropriate commercial SOPs, processes and tools to support Hansa’s first US launch
- Cross-functional leadership and collaboration with Clinical Development, Regulatory Affairs, Medical Affairs, Corporate Affairs and Patient Advocacy, and other functions, to ensure alignment of product vision and execution
- Act as the commercial voice in cross-functional groups and forums
- As requested, support in the evaluation of external innovation opportunities
- Recruit and lead the commercial team (marketing and sales), building a lean organization capable of scaling as needed

Education and experience requirements
- Master’s Degree or MBA from an accredited college or university
- 20 years of pharma/biotech experience
- 10 years of US marketing experience including experience leading a US launch as head of marketing
- Experience building and leading a US marketing team and a field-based organization
- US launch experience, preferably in hospital, transplant, nephrology or orphan
- Sales experience (sales representative, regional business director and/or head of sales) is preferred
- Experience from a smaller international biotech company is preferred
- Global/international experience is preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams). Strong working knowledge of other IT systems (e.g. Contract Management Systems, Sharepoint, Travel & Expenses systems, Zoom)
- Ability to interact with all levels of the organization including C-suite, CEO and Board of Directors
- Ability to manage multiple, sometimes conflicting priorities, in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally on a frequent basis

Estimated salary range for this role is $310,000-$360,000 annually. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications, skills and experience of the individual applicant, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the geographic location of the individual. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/ or long-term incentives, as well as participation in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, company holidays and well-being benefits.
