Position: Franchise Program Lead
In this role as Franchise Program Lead you oversee drug development from start to finish. You are leading R&D projects with the aim to enable treatment of patients with new drugs and/or within new indications.
The work is done through proactive and efficient management of cross-functional project teams, as well as through collaboration with departmental and other stakeholders, defining the roadmap, timelines, and budgets ensuring progress according to set objectives.
Principal Responsibilities
- Overall responsibility for assigned product development projects
- Define, together with the Project Core Team, strategies, key objectives and milestones for the product development and align with the Franchise Strategy
- Act as the project champion, maintain a global viewpoint of the project, representing project at governance interactions and keeping senior management informed of project status
- Lead effective, strategic and tactical decision making by the Project Core Team through identification and management of risks and issues, and through the creation of high-quality project plans and realistic timelines
- Develop Target Product Profiles and Global Product Development Plans in collaboration with the cross functional team(s)
- Lead key operational tactics and deliver the agreed project plan within the agreed timelines, the agreed costs and the required quality standards
- Lead the financial planning and analysis through developing, maintaining and follow-up of project budgets, and by identifying budgetary impacts and priorities
- Ensure good collaboration and communication within the Project Core Team and across key cross-functional stakeholders to certify that the projects proceed with required quality and speed, and to keep project team members engaged
Professional Qualifications
- You hold an academic degree (preferably a PhD) within a relevant field of scientific expertise such as Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Pharmacy, Medical, Biology or similar
- You possess solid knowledge of the drug development chain and regulatory requirements
- You have several years (+5 years) of experience in successful project management, leading cross functional project teams successfully through clinical development and ideally also including launch of a commercial product
- Previous experience from planning, tracking, and managing budgets, timelines, and overall quality within complex projects, is required
- You are fully proficient in both written and spoken English

Type of employment
This is a permanent and full-time (40 hours) position based in Lund. We offer a hybrid way of working and we would love to be able to meet you in person at least 2-3 days per week.
The position will support the Kidney Transplantation Franchise but may also involve work within other Franchises.
